E14BTS & E15BTS
« on: September 24, 2021, 11:32:00 AM »
I photographed E14BTS & E15BTS around 0900 hrs at Bishop’s Stortford Station on Thursday 23rd September.

Are these two vehicles still with Lodge Coaches , as all the Fleetnames and “legal lettering” had been removed . They are both East Lancs bodied Tridents , new to Blackpool Transport , hence the registrations

Does anybody know their current status please
Andrew HA.

E14BTS is showing on DVLA as Untaxed 1/9/21 and E15BTS taxed till 1/3/22. Both have last V5c issued 15/1/18 suggesting that they have not changed owner from Lodges!

Interesting I wonder why then all fleetnames removed , and no visible “legal lettering” ?

Also interesting that E14BTS is on the road untaxed!!!  Was it on trade plates? Maybe going to a dealer

I could see no trade plates etc . By the time they moved off in convoy circa 0910 hrs , I was on the Station waiting for a train .

To correct my initial posting , these two vehicles were actually New to Isle of Man Transport during mid-2000
Being acquired by Blackpool Transport during January/ February 2012.

My reckoning here is that a dealer or another operator has purchased them, somewhere like Bishop's Stortford station would make a convenient halfway handover point I imagine. Guess we'll see who they turn up with!

Both have gone to a Sheffield operator, possibly Linburg

For some reason it was impossible to add a 'Thank you' on this board. I investigated and found that the 'Thank-o-matic' wasn't enabled. It is now.

So if anyone wants to thank the previous (or subsequent) contributors, feel free so to do.
