Licence conditions

There are a number of different and regularly seen operating conditions that the Traffic Commissioners impose on licences but the following caught my eye as being a little different. I personally hadn’t ever seen any like this before which appeared in Notices and Proceedings number 2527 dated 13 April 2022:

New Undertaking Authorised vehicles must enter and exit the site in forward gear at 93A GEDNEY RD, LONG SUTTON, SPALDING, PE12 9JU. Failure to do so may lead to disciplinary action being taken.

Attached to Operating Centre: 93A GEDNEY RD, LONG SUTTON, SPALDING, PE12 9JU New Undertaking No other personal or visiting vehicles will park in the driveway, such as to cause an obstruction to the PSV entering, exiting and turning within the property at 93A GEDNEY RD, LONG SUTTON, SPALDING, PE12 9JU. The PSV must be able to freely enter and exit the operating centre without the need to move other vehicles.

Interesting, 93A Gedney Road, Long Sutton  is a private house with only limited parking space, presumably for a minibus. There is a driveway to what looks like a paddock behind so presume the 'buses' must turn round in there. Obviously the TC does not authorise reversing out of the premises for safety reasons.

Only 1 vehicle is licenced at that address, which looks an outstation, maybe a drivers house. The main operating centre appears to be at Pinchbeck with others out stationed at Donington and Long Sutton.

The Brookes trade as Sabre Buses, and look to be a contract transport supplier to Lincs County Council. presumably school services.
