Title: New buses on 474
Post by: jrdpod on June 12, 2011, 05:00:50 PM
TfL 474 (Manor Park-Canning Town), received new WVL class Volvo B9TL/Wright Geminis in April 2011, to replace the ex London General/Central Volvo B7TL/Plaxton Presidents, which had served on the route since 2009, and replaced former Blue Triangle Tridents.
WVL 416 was seen at Beckton Bus Station on 24/4/11.

Also, the new MCV double-deck has been appearing on the route (VM1 - BJ11XGZ). It is supposed to be appearing on route 425, but presumably it is on the 474 as the route passes the Silvertown garage, so it will be easier to sort out any issues with the bus, or swap it with another if it has issues.

VM 1 was returned to MCV in Cambs last Tuesday 7th,  It is not back at Silvertown yet (as at today Mon 13th) but they hope to get it back later this week.

I'll hopefully try and track down VM1 in August, hopefully managing to get a journey on it.

This would account for the reason I didn't see it on the 425 last Saturday !
