Al, that is interesting about 34834 on the tracker as the system was showing 37216 running dead from Bedford bus station to the garage so maybe a swap or another tracker meltdown.

Today's adventure into the cold took place on 10881 on a 9, 19587 on a 9a, 37214 on a 2, 10876 on an 81, 10874 on a 1 and 36062 home on a 3 all within the Bedford boundary. There was absolutely nothing of interest on the 50 today.

Other piffle saw 10880 on the 41, 51, 73, 81 with 10876 replacing 37438 to work the 1415 81. 10875 was on the 1/53 circuit, 27520 did 1's, 27521 on 5's alongside 11279 and 34536.

Somebody went for numerical consistency by churning out 37055, 37056 and 37057 for the W7 but spoilt it with 28627 on the other diagram.

After purchasing said item it was back into town on 19892 on a 51 for 10876 home on the 1615 9b. 19705 refuses to leave the garage in this cold so remains the only Bedford bus not had this year. I don't count Elites as I view them as coaches.

Further Bedford allocated Dart SLFs have now been stood down. 34827 is now parked up at Bedford depot, whilst similar 34834 is on loan to Cambridge where it is acting as an overflow drivers break room.

Still IS. Testing Day is Fridays where at least 4 or 5 are tested including sometimes those of outsiders if required.

Interesting. 36301/02 (LX56DZU/V) have been on the 8 in the absence of the Solo SR's and there are 9 Solo SR's. So 7 more short E200's would tally. The only thing is that they're between 8 and 10 years older than the Solo SR's. They would surely be only a stop gap measure given their age

19705 still refuses to make an appearance for me so I had to make do with 10880 on a 9a. 34533 appeared for the 1436 50 so I did this to Sainsburys. My bus back was 19581 on a 51 for 10881 home on the 1515 9a.

I was going to do 19704 on a 6 to intercept 34533 inbound but the driver informed me the bus needed a drink as it was out of water so that idea fell apart.

Other stuff viewed in the hour were 34830 on an 81, 34536 on a 10, 27522 and 36044 on 2's, 27521 on a 5, 10879 on a 1, 10876 on a 53 and 11280 on a 9b.

34830 passed me today on the 1215 73 as I was on 10879 on a 9 into town for 18108 on the 1236 50 to Sainsburys. I returned on 36044 on a 51 for 10878 home on the 1315 9a.

34536 was again on 10's, 36043 on the 1220 81 from Luton, 27521 on 2's and 27522 on 5's. 11280, 10875 and 10881 all visited Hitchin with 10880 on the 1/53 turns.

Other visitors to Bedford were 11133 on a 50 and 28626, 37069, 37058 and 37061 on W7's.

Yesterday the Sainsburys food shop came courtesy of 11280 on a 9, 11127 on a 50 to the store, 37214 back on a 6 for 19587 home on an 81.

A brief visit to town today on 11279 on a 9a, 34830 for 37215 on 2's and home on 10878 on a 9 and that was my exercise manoeuvres.

Alternative exercises were provided by 34828 and 36062 on the 4/10 diagrams, 36043 on a 3, 27522 on 6's, 10880 on 1/53 turns, 10875 and 10879 on Hitchin's.

Today it was time for me to start moving stuff into my new home in Milton Ernest as I will soon be reliant on route 50. It should be interesting using Midlands gold tickets on Bedford Town routes.

I did 10875 on a 9 for 35180 on the 1236 50. The return journey involved 11126 and 34538 home on a 3 although two of us missed our stop as the two bells we pressed were silent. A fine thing to bring that vehicle back into service with silent bells so the bus doesn't stop.

Other things noted were 11279, 10876 and 34830 on 81's, 11130 on a 50, 34536 on a 3 and 10874, 10877 and 10880 on Hitchin's.

A day of packing more boxes had to be alleviated with an hour outdoors. This involved doing 10879 on a 9b, 18104 on the 1716 50, 34536 on a 6 and 19706 home on a 9.

Also on the Hitchin circuit were 10876 and 10878, 10877on a 1, 10874 and 11279 on 1/53, 34830 and 27522 on 5's. The 828 dropped 34538 and the 830 had 36301. I only got to see three of the W7 buses which were 37074, 37048 and 28632.

I tweeted Stagecoach East about the report on fleet report that Peterborough's E200's are being prioritised for repaint and got a very helpful reply saying that they're concentrating on one make and model at a time as it's more cost effective. So we can expect Bedford's E200's to be repainted fairly soon

Monday night I went home on 19704 on the 2244 2 which will probably be one of my last ever late night move on a Bedford town route.

Today was my final day living on route 9 before I officially get transferred to route 50 tomorrow. I had to allow the Internet engineer into my new abode which involved doing 11280 on a 9, 18108 on the 1336 50 up to Ernest. The return came courtesy of 15607 on the 50 for 37215 home on a 3.

Other stuff seen were 18104 and 35179 on 50's, 34536 on 4/10, 34538 on 7/3, 34830 on 2's, 34828 and 27521 on 5's, 10875 on 1's, 10880 on a 51, 10877, 10878 and 11279 on Hitchin's.

The W7 produced 37050, 37057, 37072 and 28626.

The big move for me took place on 3 March so whilst the removals men were doing their stuff, I kept out of the way by doing 10875 into town on a 9a, 37432 on a 3, 10878 on a 9 for 11126 on the 1136 50 to be in position to greet the men as I was banned from travelling with them in the van. After the men had made two deliveries of my hoarding, I did 15455 on a 50 into town, 10874 on the 1815 9b to clear up the debris in my old home, 34830 on a 73 back to town for 11126 again on the 1924 50. Whilst on my travels I noted 28626 and 28628 on the W7. The tracker showed 37220 on Bedford garage all day.

Thursday I bought a Bedford Dayrider plus on 11127 on the 1644 50 into Bedford for a food shop. As the 50 is only hourly I had enough time to rake in 36043 out for 27521 back on 6's before doing the shopping. 11138 took me home on the 1812 50.

Stuff noticed in my hour or so in town were 34538 on a 5, 34536 on 2's, 34830 on the 1745 3 and 27522 on 1's. 35180 had earlier done the 1541 50.

37220 (SN64OKV) is another Peterborough E200 in for repaint. Once all of Peterborough's E200's are done of which there are 11 more to do. Bedford's own E200's are next in line. So hopefully we'll be seeing less irrelevant 'Citi' branding soon. Bedford also has the largest allocation of E200's within Stagecoach East with 15 in service and another 9 currently in reserve making a total of 24. Then there's the 9 E200 MMC's as well

The recently arrived ex London E200's will have hanover units installed soon. The old flip dot blinds taken from now scrapped darts in 36301 (LX56DZU) are starting to fail. The rear blind doesn't work at all and the side blind works when it wants to

I had a ride into town on enviro 200MMC 37432 (SN16 OPW) on the 1 today and noticed most vehicles have now had their blinds updated to show the route number on the left hand side of the blind instead of the right and in a different font. All town services now have the destination as bus station instead of Bedford town centre. They also have the via point at the top and the destination at the bottom like they used to have a few years ago when Bedford was transferred to Cambridge management instead of Northampton

Today I did 39689 on a 50 into town and because I have an hour to wait for a bus home then I use a Bedford dayrider plus. With all the places to sit in closed after finishing shopping zI have little choice but to ride around to fill the time as the bus station gets worse every week with the specimens loitering about.

I did 10874 on a 9, 36043 on a 2, 27523 and 37212 on 6's before heading home on 39686 on the 1541 50. I notice that the inbound 50 now has a diddy dolly type of bus stop at Sainsburys. I wonder how long it will take to put back a bus shelter. The only use of the current stop is you can play air guitar with it.

My food shop today proved very constructive as I picked up two winners in the process. First up I had 22833 very much required oddly running 15 late on a 50. This proved beneficial as the lateness dropped me onto winner two 36065 on the 1447 5 which I did to Putnoe for 27523 back. Then I went shopping and did 11126 home on the 1541 50.

Other stuff spotted were 10875 on the 830 and 10877 on the 53a. 11280 was on 9's, 34828 did 3, 4, 7 and 10's, 34536, 34538 and 34830 worked consecutive 81's and 10880, 10881 did Hitchin's.

When I was back home watching Fiona Bruce on her normal Monday 6pm news and suddenly I found myself looking at Bedford bus station with a reporter. I wonder if the gold bus was 11126 I was sitting on so missing my chance to be on the news. 37210 duly appeared in the bulletin and they did an on board shot of a bus turning from Midland Road into Ashburnham Road possibly the xx30 6 and 41's involved when you would have two buses going that way.
